The ALL CALL on September 29th- Will serve as the kickoff to the Wild West 2021 Strategy Virtual Conference, this will announce the 2021 strategy and allow for the over-arch to be shared with the team. With a focus on Safety, Diversity, HR, and a Message from Leadership (David, Mike, Mark) this call will set expectations for the learning during the virtual conference and the weeks to come.
The General Sessions will focus on 4 key strategic topics that will lead the discussions for the week. Each week will start with the offering of two General Sessions. Managers must attend one of the General Sessions or view the recording in the case of vacation or sick time. These sessions will be high-level overviews of 40 minutes in length with 15 minutes of Q&A. Introduction to these key strategic topics will then break-out into more specific sessions during the week. The general sessions are designed to build upon each strategy each week. Week 1- Brand, we sustain our operations and growth once we put in place the principles from Weeks 1-3.
We sustain our The Fishbowl discussions are optional events to begin to foster the spirit of collaboration among our newly formed Wild West team. Tackling topics that are top of mind for our teams they will look to brainstorm and ideate ways to improve these challenges that we all face. 1 Hours sessions will be offered twice during the week and will be recorded. Discussions and ideas from these forums will be provided to the VPOs and a report to the field will follow the four weeks of sessions. These sessions are meant to be think tanks with high participant involvement.
To keep the month-long virtual conference fun and engaging we will have a 2-3 minute weekly video message shared with the team to recap the strategy discussed during that week as well as a sneak peek to the following week. This communication will also include a calendar of the coming week and all of the sessions, discussion available, and links to the Teams meetings all in one place.
As a focus on our people, we are offering 2 development opportunities for all managers and a 3rd session for AGMs and above. While we have yet to determine the topics of our development activities, we know developing our people to execute the strategy is key. We will align with Mary Calhoun to design and develop two key opportunities. For our AGMs and above they will be required to complete DISC-Profile training as part of learning how to best work with their specific client profiles.
Breakout sessions are designed to take the high-level reviews given during the General Sessions and provide a deeper dive with the Support or SME for those items. The first two weeks will be a deep dive into the culinary offers and technology, these sessions will be held twice during the week, and managers are encouraged to attend at least 1 that pertains to their account but managers will come together to discuss with their VPOs. The SME resource in Week 4 will put together a TED talk format to discuss the who, what, where, why, and when to utilize the available resources. With a new leaner support team it is important to know who to turn to for support across the area.
At the end of the 4-week Wild West 2021 Strategy Virtual Conference, each VPO will gather their respective areas to Wrap Up the conference, garner feedback, and solidify the vision for the individual areas as well as the Wild West as a whole. Through this process the teams will have collaborated, done self-work, and come together as a team and a family, all with the success of 2021 at the forefront.
